What is your favorite item in your collection? Or if you'd like to break it down by favorite glove, ball, uniform, bat, photo, et cetera that would be fine too.

Here's mine: 1910 Snapshot photo of Eddie Collins before a World Series game.....the fella in the background is dressed like Connie Mack, but I'm not sure if it's him or not.

I'm not really a vintage collector, or a collector of photos for that matter (I do have an extensive autograph collection of many HOFers) but that photo is awesome! I think it's really neat how it catches Collins in a candid moment with what looks like Connie Mack behind him (I blew the picture up and am pretty confident it is). I also love how the crowd is filing in and milling about. Neat photo!

This is my latest - just arrived from Mastro. Not necessarily my favorite, but it's up there near the top. Very happy with this addition.

I didn't want to leave anyone out. Mike that Piper bat is pretty cool, and Martin that Walter Johnson stuff is incredible. Slidekellyslide your picture doesn't show up for me but I'm sure it's neat as well. Joe, I've only seen one other plaid jersey and it's in a museum.

I'll try and post some more things later, what else does anyone have that is neat, pictures if you can. Clint.

Dan, thanks for the link that is a great photo. I'd kill to have one of those hats(Collin's, not Mack'1026s). Your collection looks great as well. Here is one of my favorite photos, can anybody guess who the player on the right is?

Don't know who the player is, but that's a great photo. It's photos like that one that showcase the carnival like atmosphere that surrounded baseball at the time.

All great stuff guys ! Here is a recent addition, Winchester Baseball Jersey and Pants. Found a Winchester glove and a generic bat (until I find a Winchester Bat) and placed in a shadow box I bought at a flea market. I think it has a great look.

Bill, super rare Winchester jersey. Again the only one I've seen was in a museum. Great find!

Looks a lot like Joe. Is it really him and which team is he with? The bear is awesome.

I wish it were Joe, but it isn't. The team is Price,Utah and this guy played with Babe Ruth in Boston and New York. Too bad he didn't play with the Cubs.

All great stuff guys.

Bill - I have never seen a Winchester uniform. Very Cool! And really neat shadow box...you should put a ball in there too.

If it wasn't obvious, uniforms are my thing :p , and I like to keep records off all the manufacturers tagging. Would you mind posting a pic of the Winchester tag? Txs!

Here is a shot of the tag. Got this beauty along with two other uniforms from the same person. Got a neat Cubs and a HUBLEY uni probably from the 1940s era. vintagesportscollector - as always I love viewing your site. Great collection !

I have some pics but the size is just over 500! trying to reduce them....

Its quite the bat. If you remember Ty Cobb was quoted and also proved by photos, that he had a separted grip as well as choked up a little on the bat itself...well on this bat, you can see how he taped it starting a little from the bottom of the bat about 10 inches up.. also in the typical style he taped his bats...

The tape itself has worn off/been removed, but you can see the stronger depressions from where he held it in each hand...and where the gap is where his hand(s) wasnt...

Clint,
Nice 34' Cardinals pin! Is it available for sale or trade? Here's the pinback that I'd have to say is my favorite...

Stunning pin! I've really gotten into pinbacks over the past year. I think they are under appreciated as a collectible both in terms of aesthetics and value.

I agree. Pinbacks are a great niche but not so much under the radar anymore,

Great thread, would like to add a couple of mine..First is a '20s-30s Pie Traynor Glove in the original box..He's a personal favorite..also including an early '30s Reds Game Used, Worn Spalding Uniform, w/Durocher stitched in the pants. Both purchased at estate sales over the past decade. Kept the original ads to go along w/ the pieces. Jay
