If a particular game used bat has been graded an A8 by Mears make more valuable than if the same bat wasn't graded at all? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

It would probably sell for more and sell more quickly-- in that many bidders/bidders would be more confident in paying money for it.

Aside from team or sales companies like Steiner, JO Sports, etc., MEARS LOAs are strong, especially on jerseys. On bats, their addition is important, but so are John Taube LOAs. That said, the views of third-party LOOs/LOAs from hobby sources are mixed among collectors. Some value them immensely, while others couldn't be bothered. MERAS LOOs are among the best around, but while most collectors would consider the MEARS leter a plus, there are a few who wouldn't.
