Macgregor Sand Knit Tagging

Hi guys, anybody ever come across a SAND KNIT football jersey circa late 80's with sand knit tagging in collar and the size on alittle tag to the right (by right meaning the person looking straight at jersey, small black and white tag on right side.) I have seen several football jerseys and size always appears at bottom on sand knit name in bold black numbers...)

I have an article from Jim Yackel (Jim's Jerseys) from his website dated 6/13/04 about Sand-Knit tagging in 1980's Raiders jerseys. The tagging was primarily in the cowl, with a few exceptions. He goes on to say the Sand-Knit tagging was done three different ways. The most common was the Exclusive Sand-Knit/Los Angeles Raiders double tagging. There was also the Sand-Knit/Traveggia & Brusati double tagging. Traveggia & Brusati was a San Rafael, California company that Sand-Knit outsourced some of it's jersey supplying responsibilities to. The third type was the basic single Medalist/Sand-Knit tag (with size on it).

I've seen flagged sizes on collar tags in the reaqlm of some 1980s Packers gamers, as well. These can be flagged on the right, or, more often, underneath.

Great Thanks Dave, that helps alot! This raider jersey was from the late 80's....I believe....seen alot of late 80 gamers but most have size underneath sandknit name in bold black numbers
