Hi shoremen, that is a great Pujols Tino bat but I have a quick question - were you able to align up the "Genuine C243" with "Albert Pujols", maybe it's the angle but it kind of doesn't look to line up to me

            Hey Bert,

Really great images. I know I am getting older and my eyes may be failing me but doesn't the bat Martinez is using in your images have a cupped end whereas the one you have does not? Again, my eyes are not that great so I apologize in advance if I'm mistaken.

            Best Regards,

Chris, I was just looking back at an older thread and both bats are cupped.

I'm just curious to know about the alignment of the C243 "4" and Pujols "S", maybe it's the angle but the "4" on his bat seems to be more in front of the "S" than the photo with Tino hitting. also in Bert's bat, the "A" in Albert also looks to be directly under the front part of the "N" of Genuine, and the Tino hitting photo seems to have the "A" more in the middle/end of the "N". of course this can all be due to the angle, and am basing my opinions on the photos Bert provided.

Just so I'm clear, are you saying Bert's bat has a cupped barrel end? Again, I don't see it but I am certainly willing to admit I may be mistaken.

yes Chris, Bert made a thread about this awhile back and shows the cupped end in this post.

Okay, now I'm going to schedule an appointment with my eye doctor.

However, before I do, are you sure the bat in the photos in this thread is the same as the one in the post you linked above? In particular, while I understand angels can play a key role in the way things are displayed, the third side-by-side picture in the images in this thread definitely do not seem to me as though the bat has a cupped end. Am I the only one seeing this? Just want to make sure before I decide to change the perscription in my glasses like Mrs. Riley in "My Cousin Vinny".

The bat in the TV image appears cupped whereas the other bat does NOT appear cupped. They appear to me as two different bats! I would not change your eyeglass prescription quite yet Chris.

As mentioned, this bats has been discussed here before. It is cupped and as most agree, it is a match. Nice bat.

I'll have to try and post my Tino bat used by Wade Boggs and then signed by Tino.

Just to clarify things, I am not doubting the bat discussed in previous threads on the forum has a cupped end. What I am saying is the images of the Pujols bat owned by Bert that are posted in THIS thread does not appear to have a cupped end. Maybe the bat in this thread is not the same bat as the one posted in the previous threads?

However, rather than us going round and round about it, maybe Bert can post a reply to clear things up.

No need to explain the Tino bat, I agree, i think it is 100% photo match. Nice piece.
