    Big Z not always blue

While it's generally understood that Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano wears the blue jerseys on the days he starts, the last three seasons have produced some exemptions, both proven and possible...

2007: Cubs order blue jerseys, but do not wear them by dictum of team President John McDonough. Big Z stuck with home and road shirts for all games.

2008-09: Zambrano able to start games wearing his chosen style, but incurs 7 pinch-hitting appearances each of the 2 years, enhancing the probability that home whites and/or road greys were worn on very limited occasions.

2010: Zambrano's 6-week stint in the Cubs bullpen produces appearances where he played in home whites or road greys.

I think he has officially stopped wearing blue as he wore the home pinstripes again today.

Actually, Lastings, he wore blue yesterday, but the results were anything but good luck or preferred: 1 IP, 4 ER, and a subsequent dugout tantrum that led to his being yanked from the game and, later, an indefinite suspension by GM Jim Hendry.

Yes I saw they wore blue yesterday, but as I said even the blue wasn't enough to keep Zambrano cool

Big Z is most likely pretty Blue about being suspended.

I don't normally like to comment on temper tantrums but being that I am a whiny little girl whenever I get excited about a loss or a bad call against my teams, I can't really say anything.

Dude was animated and pissed about plays where he thought they didn't work hard enough. How many of us haven't yelled at the TV for the same reason?
