    Rivera or A-Rod GI Jersey?

    Hi All,

I'm on the fence as to which one to get.....so I'm turning to my fellow collectors to push me one way or the other...

I've leaned toward A-Rod alot, but lately I've been going the other way.

    What do you guys think?

Save your money and get a Rivera gamer.

I paid 750 for a River GI jersey a few years ago and regret it all the time.

Hands down Mariano. I bought one myself last week and let me tell you when it came to just hold it was an amazing feeling to get it I had to unload football several jerseys including a Revis but it was worth it and I would have paid more. He is the cog that got them five titles and possibly more to come. He is the best closer in the history of the game by a country mile. You could argue that after Ruth, Gehrig, Joe D. and the Mick he is the fifth greatest Yankee ever. He is certainly the best pitcher they ever had, sorry Whitey fans. AROD is a great, great player but he was a Mariner and a Ranger for a long time, won only one title here and he will forever have the Roids taint. Plus Arod is five plus years younger with many years left on his deal so he will be playing for awhile so you could get one a couple of years from now. MO has maybe one or two more years left as he is 41 soon. The good thing also is Steiner has one on their site and with the GUU offer program you may be able to get a sweet deal on one.

yes, Rivera since you will never see a #42 jersey again once he retires.

nice, thanks in advance Chris. how come Rivera wouldn't add the inscription?

yeah I was just looking at MLB Auctions closed listing and this was the jersey, I think it was on Steiner's site for a long time for over $1000 and it finally sold for around $400

It seemed like he wanted to, but the people with him wouldnt let him, even though it was a steiner signing and a steiner authenticated jersey. i had him sign the number on back in silver, it came out pretty sweet. even though i paid too much for this signed gi jersey, its one of my favorites.

Thought I would share one of my Rivera gamers, it was worn by Mo from May 21 to Sept. 24, 2007!

jkalathas - That is an awesome jersey. Wish I had enough $ to purchase one, but kinda hard with a family these days. Love coming on and seeing real fans showing their great items though!
                              Cheers,
