Game Worn 1985 McMahon Jersey

I bought a game worn Jim McMahon jersey from Dave Miedema in 1986. At the time he asked me if I wanted a letter of authenticity. Well, like a dummy I said no because who would have thought it would be important? My question is how do I go about authenticating this item now? I'm a PSA member but I'd like to get a letter from Dave. Any suggestions?
