Awful lot of Chili Davis items out there now. Anyone know why the fire sale?

you mean in hunts auctions? he apparently is selling his collection and only he knows why.

I asked Chili directly at the All Star FanFest in Anaheim a couple weeks back why he was moving the items and he told me that he had too much stuff and still had a lot more that he kept.

He looks great, like he's ready to hit another screaming liner, and was very cordial with the fans.

I picked up 4 of his bats. 2 of em are Posada and Knoblauch bats auto's to Chili. Kinda cool. looks like he accumulated lots of stuff over the years.

Yea, I got his Dave Parker Reds 85 jersey and bat.

Got the Parker jersey and bat in hand today. Jersey is great and it's an 85-86 jersey not 84 as they advertised. The bat, on the otherhand, is nice looking and signed, but no use that I can see. Their coa says heavy use on bat. Oh well, I was chasing the jersey not the bat. Thanks Chili!
