Nick, that is an amazing display. I hope Ryan Braun sees pictures of your display.

Do you plan on adding any more pieces of his in the future?

Andrew-
I'm always looking to add new items, but, admittedly, I've slowed with all of the negative publicity. Someday, I would like to show him, for sure!

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words.

We made the lockers from scratch (with the idea stolen from someone in this thread!) The balls are in shelves we found at a garage sale, and we put finishing on it to make it look like it matches the lockers. The "fans" of jerseys are actually antique clothes dryers! They were cheap and I thought they looked cool. The bats racks we made; the only problem with them is knobless bats don't fit.

Too much stuff? Nah. Too much stuff is several hundred bats leaning against every wall and corner, boxes of signed baseballs and photos, and a couple of closets full of jerseys. And a narrow path leading through the chaos. I have a plan to change all that by the time I hit the big six-oh, which gives me a bit over six months, if the fam doesn't sic the Hoarders people on me first.

Just a corner of my way-too-small display room, but the snowstorm gave me a chance to organize my bat rack & accompanying photos (mostly type 1's). Unfortunately the bats on the rack do not have any direct correlation to the players in the photos...:(

RJ, you probably could hear my groan when I saw your post. We have the same idea about collecting bat themed pics to go with game used bats. I am still gathering pics and trying to come up with a coherent and not incredibly space consuming way to display. Of course my are much more tasteful as they are Red Sox and not Yankees, but all the same, I think it is a very cool idea. I particularly like the posed ones most popular in the 60s with the players aiming bats like rifles or holding 4 at a time. I have an idea for a display and if I ever put it together I will post it.

Collecting Red Sox bats 1960 to present, need Ron Jackson (60), Ray Webster, Carmen Fanzone, George Smith, Felix Mantilla, Ken Poulsen, Chuck Goggin, and Luis Alvarado

My wife is too scared to touch anything in the cave... even when I ask her to grab something or hold something she says no and runs off. She can tend to be a klutz though, so it may be for the best.

Everybody asks about those. It's the easiest thing in the world: just lay a bat down and lay the next one alongside with the knob overlapping. The knobs hold them together, although it's obviously not the sturdiest. The one I have pictured is a little too tall, but it works.

Been doing some redesigning of the man cave in my offseason. Changing out some frames and added the two player lockers. Added the 2013 NLCS game 1 first base as my 10 yr old daughter and I attended that game. It was our first playoff game together, and she was a trooper till the end when Beltran walked us off in the 13th! The jerseys are 2013 WBC, and Molina's is from the championship game. Switched my focus from our old first baseman to our new first baseman......a cheaper alternative. BTW, the Mizuno is a BP bat. Still some wall space left, but the wife has begun to use the word "clutter" recently.

I'm currently doing some work, as time permits, on the basement level of my house, now that the kids are both out, and trying to decide whether to make it a Baseball memorabilia room or a library. The bats, jerseys, etc, have taken over the master bedroom and it would be nice to be able to move around a bit easier in there and have everything out and displayed, but the books have taken over pretty much the entire house, so I'm torn.

FYI, the stands Chu and I saw at the Hunt Auction at the 2012 All Star Game in KC... and started searching for them. I can't recall where we wound up buying from, maybe this place.

What Wes said. We saw them in KC at the Hunt Auction and researched it after that. I actually got mine locally, but you need a base and that hanger portion.

for the football display, you will need one of these
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/images/products/rektangel-vase__57807_PE163455_S4.JPG
which you can get here (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50104260/), they also make it in a 25.5 inch height, but that is too tall for my bookcase.

And one of these, I prefer youth 2XL, cheaper than adult pads (I try to find them on ebay or so new for 40ish dollars each)
http://www.rawlingsfootball.com/_images/products/shldrpad/box/momentum-large.jpg

then follow these two steps:
1) place jersey on pads
2) place pads on vase

museoven! That bat and jersey collection is amazing and of course the Chu collection is great too!

This thread just has so many amazing collections on it.

I was recently at CitiField and behind homeplate they have a Majestic custom jersey "while you wait" area. They have 100's of Mets jerseys on a dry cleaner type carousel. I remember when Barry Halper displayed his jerseys on that type of system.

The display space needed for even 1 jersey is enormous let alone 50 or the 100's that some of us have.

When my son was born several years ago he took over my basement so after much work I can finally start working on my room in the spare bedroom upstairs. Giant pain moving the display cabinets but I have finally started to get things out of the closet. The only thing on the wall so far is the one rack but I have 5 more on order and need to get a ton of things framed but hopefully I can post a finished product by Christmas.

I have 13 jerseys in wall cases and 13 on mannequins. I also have a player championship ring from the team that went to the Sugar Bowl and the Sheraton Aloha Bowl watch given to UH Defensive Coordinator Jerry Glanville. Altogether I have about 110 game jerseys (UH, NFL, AFL2, CFL, CFL, etc.).

After moving a few months ago I finally got the new mancave set up (mostly). Had to cram a lot of stuff in to a smaller space than I am a custom to but I like it none the less. Had to be frugal with the jersey cases and I got a really great deal on the two with museum quality uv glass but they had team logos etched in them. Figured I'd get a nice static sticker with the correct team logo to cover them. What I like about them the most is that they make swapping out jerseys really easy. So I put up a new jersey every couple of weeks to keep things fresh. Still having a hard time figuring out a way out to display all my game used hats and cleats. I have the cleats on the floor for now but want to protect them from dust damage with a case in the not to distant future. The hats are in storage and I'm hoping to find a nice console curio that will display them well.

One of the Classier rooms IMO....;)

Hi All,

I love this thread and since I finally have my mancave where I want it I figured I would share mine. Here are some highlights from each image:

Image One - This is my Orioles playoff wall. Included on this wall is the iconic picture from the 1966 world series where Brooks Robinson is jumping in celebration of the Orioles win. This picture is signed by Brooks. It also includes two frames with my tickets from the 2012 ALDS and 2014 ALDS and ALCS. The bat is a game used Nelson Cruz bat from the 2014 ALDS. With this bat he hit a home run in ALDS game 1 which tied him with Babe Ruth for 10th all time in postseason homeruns. Also included are a Nelson Cruz ALDS nameplate, Nelson Cruz home game used postseason helmet, and Mark Reynolds 2012 Postseason Home and Away game used helmets, 2012 Game Used ALDS Postseason base, among others.

Image 2 - This image includes a lot of my specialty lineup cards including Camden Yards 20th Anniversary, Orioles 50th and 60th Anniversary, and a mothers day lineup card featuring the Orioles 50th Anniversary Logo. Also in the image is a restored Memorial Stadium Seat with a game used base from Chris Davis three home run game at Camden Yards from 2012.

Image 3 - This shows all of my bobbleheads that I have accumulated over the years. My fiancé reluctantly allows them to be displayed haha. The game used bat is a Nelson Cruz bat from last year and the helmet is a game used Brewers retro helmet from Zack Greinke in 2012.

Image 4 - This is a picture of my stairwell which includes some of my Mark Reynolds items and two lineup cards from the first road trip my fiancé and I took as a couple to Milwaukee last year to see the Orioles and Brewers play.

Image 5 - These are a couple of my framed Brewers jerseys. The number 7 jersey is a pounded Mark Reynolds Memorial Day jersey from last year. We were at this game. The other is a game used 2012 Zack Greinke Brewers jersey with a 2011 NLDS Nameplate in the frame. Also below the frame is a 2013 NLCS Greinke Dodgers Nameplate.

Image 6 - These are just some of my signs and banners from various postseasons and championships.

Image 7 - This is my Camden Yards seat and Oriole floppy hat neon light. Every mancave is not complete with out some neon! The base inside the Camden Yards seat is from Mother's Day last year.

Image 8 - This is some of my Astros display. Highlighted items are a Lance McCullers game used Memorial Day hat, game used ball that he pitched in his MLB debut, and game used ball that he pitched in his first career shutout. Also, on the top shelf is a single hit by George Springer for his 101st career hit.

Image 9 - These are some of my Altuve items from the cabinet displayed in Image 8. This includes all of the Altuve bobbleheads ever given out by both the Astros and their minor league affiliates, game used pair of batting gloves from 2013, game used helmet from the TBTC game last year against the Mariners, game used TBTC hat from the 2012 season, and game used rookie season cleats photomatched to one of his first ever games in the bigs.

Image 10 - These are the rest of my Altuve items. Featured is a game used jersey from his first full season in 2012, game used Tucci Lumber bat from 2014 that was broken in the first game my fiancé and I ever attended together, and a game used Zinger bat from 2013. Also featured are two specialty lineup cards featuring the Astros first 50th Anniversary season and their inaugural season in the AL.

Had to do this in two threads, have too much stuff haha. Here is a description of each image:

Image One - A pair of orange Astrodome seats with three bases. The bases on the seats are from Lance McCullers MLB debut and the 50th Birthday Celebration of the Astrodome. The Futures Game base is from 2011 and featured two of my favorite players, Jonathan Schoop and Jose Altuve. I have already got Schoop to sign it and I will eventually get Altuve too as well. The HOU board is an away team board from Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Image Two - A second pair of Astrodome seats with signs from Memorial Stadium and a scoreboard sign from old Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Image Three - The first of my two Jonathan Schoop walls. Featured are a game used early spring training jersey featuring #37 (he wears #6 now), a pair of game used cleats, 7 hit baseballs including a home run ball in the solo case above the fireplace, a game used playoff bat from the ALDS and ALCS (the two tone bat hanging up to the far right), and two game used St. Patrick's day hats.

Image Four - More of my Schoop game used hats. Featured are the hat from the Civil Rights game last year, O's 2014 game used hat, 2012 Bowie Baysox game used hat, and 2012 Arizona Fall League Game Used Hat.

Image Five - The second of my Schoop walls. Featured are three game used bats with the one on the far left being one he hit his first career Grand Slam with this year, a Game Used Postseason jersey from the ALCS with game used ALCS nameplate (this jersey is the only set that wasn't washed and still has pine tar stains on the shoulders), and game used Civil Rights game used jersey from last year.

Thanks for looking everyone! As always looking for Jonathan Schoop and Jose Altuve items. Email me at bigp4229@yahoo.com.

I bought these second hand but the manufacturer is Mounted Memories and according to the site the dimensions are:

The inner dimensions are 38"" x 29 1/2""x 3"" with the outer measurements of 42"" x 34 1/2""x3 1/2"".

As to LED lights, yes they are. The cases were made to be retail display cases, so that was part of the consideration.

Just getting started with my new room but I just got my Ikea cabinet finished and had to show it off. Thanks for others on this thread for recommending the detolf. My collection focuses mainly on the University of Alabama, Birmingham, AL and local boxers. Hope to have some pictures of it completed in the next month or so.

It's not a print. It's an original watercolor painting that was used as the cover for the Pirates honored Tekulve Sept. 2, 1989. If you look at the gold framed picture to the right you can see the cover in the other framed print

Very nice! I spent the summer of '79 throwing a tennis ball against my steps, trying to be a submariner. I still throw sidearm today.

I especially like the special Tony Gwynn logo base. Did they use them at home all season or just for a select game(s)?

Mostly have Orioles stuff with some Ravens, Panthers, and Carolina Hurricanes stuff as well. Have a lot in closets/storage, just debating how cluttered I want to make it.

What Carolina Hurricanes items do you have in your collection?

I have a lot of autographs too but that's about it for my Canes stuff.

Part 2. I also have a room with all my NHL Goalies, about 50 jerseys. These are two of my Mets, Olerud and Piazza and My Bahnson's and Montanez's. My Blue Jays: Olerud, Maldonado, Cecil (Canada Day) and Stottlemyer.

Sorry about the quality.

I have had a few emails about the jerseys I've posted and thought I'd answer here. They are all game worn. The Rams jerseys are Vince Ferragamo, Jack Youngblood and Bob Lee. The Expos jerseys are Tim Burke (44) Joe Hesketh (38) Doug Flynn (home and away 23) Larry Walker (33) and Chris Speier (4) Red practice jerseys are Al Oliver and Andres Gallaraga. The ones I didn't capture were Boots Day (8) and Warren Cromartie (49)

The Montanez jerseys are Expos and early 70's Phillies and Bahnson's Expos and White Sox 70's jerseys.

Thanks for emails.
