Time for the Reds to close it down

The Reds need to win one of the three to keep a seven game lead, if they can win at least one or two the Cardinals will have a very tough time catching up. Big Series!!!

I'm pulling for the Reds...new blood in the playoffs and vindication for Dusty Baker, who was treated terribly when he left the Unfriendly Confines. Even though I'm a Cubs fan, I've got no particular beef with the Cardinals...heck, I'm in admiration of Albert Pujols and Tony LaRussa for their charity work and their decision to appear at the recent Glenn Beck rally. The Cardinals are there so often, though...let's see what a different team in red can do.

Yes, this is the Reds chance to take 2 of 3 and basically coast into the playoffs. Even though they could get swept and still have a 5 game lead, I almost feel like they need this series to vindicate themselves from the beating the Cardinals gave them a couple of weeks back!

Nothings ever a sure bet. Mets in 07 7.5 game lead 17 to play season ended in no playoffs.
