1981 New Jersey Nets HELP

Hi Forum,
Any basketball experts in here. Did the New Jersey Nets NBA basketball team wear Rawlings in 1981? Can someone show me a New Jersey Nets warmup jacket or jersey from 1981. Just showing the tags. Did Rawlings have exclusive tags like SandKnit did. B.F.

I had a 81-82 Nets jersey a while back. I no longer have the shirt but I found a pic of it in an auction. If I remember correct there was no other tagging besides the rawlings size tag and a 81 year tag on the inside tail. I don't remember any signs of a tag being removed either.

Rawlings is proper for the era, and they never used "exclusive" tags on any jerseys that I recall.

This is a 1981 Foots Walker Nets jersey.There is a year tag inside the jersey.

Thanks for all your help. I am so use to seeing exclusive tags like SandKnit. When you see a 81 tag on Rawlings NBA game used jerseys. Is it from 1980-81 or 1981-82? I say 1981-82. The vintage stuff. I am new. B.F.

The year tag would designate 1981-82.

Thanks for your help once again. Looking at my NJ Nets 1981-82 game used jacket. Looks like a patch is missing bottom right side. Not sure if there was a pocket missing or a NBA patch taken off. Any help? Thanks. B.F.

Thanks for posting pictures. I am thinking the New Jersey Nets taken off the NBA patch and recycled it other years. I am new to game used vintage items. Looking at the pictures posted of the New Jersey Nets Rawlings warmup game used jacket. I see no pockets on the sides. So I am missing the NBA patch. I do see on the pictures posted, two numbers on the inside jacket. That tells me. The Nets do recycle there gamers. Once again. Thanks for everyone that helped me. B.F.

That's the only reason that I could come up with as well. Jacket style changed and maybe they just recycled the NBA patches? Seems like quite a bit of work.

I could see if it was a transition year to the small Jerry logo and the rest of the jacket was still the same. They could drop the patch and it would look like a match, sans little NBA logo.

Wasn't 86-87 the first season w/o the big NBA patch on warmups?

If so, did the Nets wear the same style warmup from 1981-82 to 86-87?
