What's the best pen to use on a flannel?

Does any one know what the best type of pen to use to get a flannel jersey signed with? Before any one starts cringing about getting a vintage flannel signed, this is a ebbts reproduction.

A regular blue sharpie. Just make sure it's a new one.

Getting another flannel signed, but this one is cream colored. I would like to use a black sharpie, or is a blue sharpie is best? Or does anyone have other a better idea?

Has anyone had any experience, with a color besides blue? Or any experiences with a pen besides a sharpie?

I used black sharpie on a cream colored KC Monarchs jersey signed by Buck O Neil in 2006 just before he passed away, and it turned out great. I can send you a pic If you would like. just let me know. hdavid_27at yahoo
