I was also wondering if this was the same bat Andy from Vintage Bats had for sale back in January. I remember that Andys bat was a 1992 All Star bat and had no real use or pine tar unlike this bat which does appear to have some tar. I hope Andy can tell us if this was the bat he had. Medina, have you picked up any more Mac bats lately? Did you ever sell the 86 and 00 you had?

Those are some nice ones!!! If you dont mind me asking where did you pick those up at? You looking at that 93 on ebay as well? The guy is just to high on that price I think. I got an 88 and an 01 also, its impossible to find Mac bats with REAL USE out there.

                    Hi Robert,
Here are some photos of the Mac bat that I sold. The angles are different but I think that the key would be to match up the grain kind of like matching up pinstripes on a jersey. I know that there are some members of the forum that at are great at photo analysis...perhaps the location of the knob stamping in reference to the model number, etc.

                    Regards,
                    Andy

Final bid was $1007 on this bat. I noticed in the bid history that one bidder (not the high bidder) had two bids of exactly the same amoung ($898.00). How is this possible? Just curious if anyone gets this.

                          Hi Reid,

My feeling on this is that more than likely that bidder increased his maximum bid while he was the high bidder.

Therefore, if his current max was $900 at 2 pm and the bat was then priced at $898 he (or she) may have felt they didn't have enough space between the max and the current price so maybe they upped their max bid to $975 (or some such figure).

The current auction price would have stayed at $898 as no other bidder increased the amount with another bid. I think that is how that works. I've seen that happen when I've upped my max bid before and I have also seen it in auctions I have run myself.

                          Hope this helps.

                            It's a curious thing, Tim.

                            Thanks for your reply.
