Vintage Celtics Johnson jersey

Hello, I have a quick question on a vintage Celtics jersey I own. It's from the early eighties with the name Johnson on the back which I assumed was Dennis Johnson, but it is number 34 not 3 which was DJ's retired number. Did he wear 34 at any time before switching to 3? I checked the Celtics all time roster for other Johnson's but did not find any others between 1969 and 2001.

Pre-season jersey of someone who didn't make the team? Have you compared the size to known DJ gamers?

John Johnson (Michigan) was a 3rd round pick in 1981, and Trent Johnson (Pittsburgh) was an 8th round pick in 1983. Neither made the team, and #34 was not used in the regular season either year.
