    eBay item 190458727310: Mis-ID'd cap

Certainly an honest mistake, but worth noting nonetheless: The above item is listed as a 1975-76 game worn Rick Cerone Indians cap. Problem is, the style wasn't worn by the Indians until 1978, by which time Cerone was in Toronto. For the life of the style (1978-84), the only player who wore #4 was Tony Bernazard (1984). Other wearers of the number in that era appear to all be coaches.

Dave......I see these honest mistakes alot on Ebay concerning caps and who wore them during what time period. Another issue on that particular Indians cap is that it has the MLB tag, which is located to the left of the New Era label and that tag didn't appear inside caps until 1983.

This is why I like to see forum members come forward with educational and useful information concerning caps as they often do concerning jerseys, bats and such.
