Artie Wilson, former Negro Leaguer, PCL star, and briefly a major leaguer, has died at age 91.
Wilson played 19 games for the 1951 New York Giants. In 1948, while with the Birmingham Black Barons, he became the last non-minor league player to hit .400, finishing at .402. He also mentored a 17-year old kid named Willie Mays while there.
