2004 Roethlisberger Helmet on ebay???

Ebay seller zack916 is offering a Ben Roethlisberger helmet on ebay. What do people think about the thickness of the "7" on the front and the back of the helmet?

The 7 looks close but not exact, in my opinion. I think the seller would need to answer a lot of questions about provenance.

The 7 on the back looks close, but doesn't match to the pictures. The 7 on the front looks better than the one on the back.
How many helmets does a player use throughout a season? I can't imagine a QB going through too many (more than 1 or 2) in a season. And I agree with Langway, the seller is going to have to prove the provenance.

In addition to the 7 font difference. There looks to be a "ridge" at the bottom of the back bumper on all the helmets in the getty images but no ridge on the helmet for sale...???

look how clean the inside of the helmet is...anyone that has ever played football, knows head sweat plays a factor

It would be interesting to know how many helmets Big Ben used that season. This is definitely not a photo match because the american flag in the getty images pics is much higher than the one on ebay

Personally, I don't like it...Steeler game helmets have their insignia very close to the ear hole (see Getty Images)...do you see that on the helmet listed in the EBAY auction? No! It appears to me that the helmet was made up, by adding the #7...moreover, that seller has been known to sell other questionable items...

the font for the "7" sticker is not the same. interestingly enough, the american flag sticker is much larger on the ebay helmet. if you look at the images of the back of the helmet, the NFL insignia and the "Warning..." sticker are exactly the same size
on both the Ebay helmet and the Getty helmet. (I resized all images so they'd be
in the same proportion). The american flag sticker however is much larger on the Ebay helmet. the placement of american flag sticker is also different but i'm guessing
they're pretty much just slapped on by hand with little precision.

Has anyone else emailed him before? Has anyone contacted him about the Roethlisberger helmet?
