Ed Kirkpatrick, who played mainly for the Angels and Royals in a career that spanned from 1962-77, died November 5. He was 66.
Kirkpatrick came up with the Angels during expanded rosters in 1962, and was a Halo through 1968. He was selected by the Royals, where he had his best years, in the expansion draft for the four new teams in 1969. He spent the next three full seasons with the Pirates, and divided his final season between Pittsburgh, Texas and Milwaukee.
