I recently got a bat and i was wondering what these marks are from? They are brown in color. Does anyone know?

It could be dirt marks from the batter hitting the bat to the sides of his cleats. Who's bat is it?

It is Mitch Morelands bat from this year

If you have mlb tv check out a few of his at bats to see if he taps the bat to his cleats.
