....God bless my wife,the enabler,for this early X-Mas gift (which made me very merry,I might add!!) with Rockies letter...matches the road cap I just got a couple weeks ago.Now where's RBoitano with those damn '09 road pants?????

Great pickup. I'd love to find a pair of road pants to complete my Tulo set. I'd actually like to find any pair of pants from 2010.

While you know that Giambi is one of my least favorite players for personal reasons (I won't rehash the story here), that jersey is one immaculate Christmas gift! Glad your "enabler" has you pegged so well...my wife's idea of a Xmas gift is for me to sell 2 or 3 jerseys to buy gifts for friends and family. Needless to say, she has not gotten any cooperation from me on that idea.:D

Haha,that's actually pretty funny Dave!Every once in a while,I DO have to hear that I'd better start selling!(she knows the Giambi stuff isn't going anywheres,but she eyeballs some of the other Phillies and better-name bats in my collection and starts gettin' crazy ideas sometimes!

Skier,try sending a message to Helton17 on eBay and see if he can get any-I asked him about Giambi jerseys,and he was able to get this one.

Just breakin' balls about the gloves Chris..gotta nail you for something on such an otherwise perfect photomatch..and I'll tell you,his gloves are tough-for whatever reason I've only seen 2 pairs-one of which I own-and one single glove-which I also grabbed-for sale in all these years.
Don't worry about the cleats,I don't have any mannequin displays,so my jersey/pants combos have to go right in the display cabinet..I do appreciate the offer though..thanks!
And great Giambi helmet you wound up getting there..definitely a full season's worth of use on that one,doubt seriously he had another!

By the way Chris,what do you hear out there about the Rox picking him up for another year?I know Giambi has said he wants to come back,but don't know how feasable that is to the Rox-especially after missing the postseason this year...

At the end of the season, they seemed pretty hot on picking him back up. Since then, I haven't heard a peep... but then again, the Rockies rarely discuss plans until they have talked to a player... the Lopez deal was a complete surprise here - as was the fact that they had even talked to Berkman.

I also never heard a peep about Giambi's end of the season injury that side-lined him for the last week or so... maybe it was more serious than announced?

I know G-Man had made overtures about wanting to coach - maybe the Rox bring him back as a Special Asst like they did Weiss and Castilla and he learns the system???

Trust me - you and Butch will know as soon as I do if I hear anything...

If "The GIAMBINO" wants to come back to the ROX, Then "POSSUM" will make that Happen-They are Old Friends from Long Beach State, and "POSSUM" Always makes sure to take care of the Former DIRTBAGS-How do you think TULO Got Drafted, and then got the Hugh Contract (Besides his Obvious Talent).
G-Man has been out and about in Las Vegas (Resides in Nearby Henderson), But i have not Seen or Spoken to him since the end of the season-When i do i will ask him what his plans are for 2011, and perhaps for a few pairs of Batting Gloves, since he seems to be Hoarding them!

Looks like Tampa has interest in him, I'm surprised considering his age that he is still playing. Kudos to him I say, and if he does play more than likely it will be a new team, so that will broaden your collection even more.
