Since 2005, when the pictured jersey was used, the Chicago White Sox have run a September promotion each season called "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day". Uniforms like the one in the photos (Raul Casanova, in this case) are worn for a selected September contest. These are NOT spring training March 17 garb...

the promotion is unique to the White Sox so far. The White Sox have worn spring training green jerseys in the past, but they were BP-styled shirts, not actual game jerseys like the current in-season promotion.

I cannot say this for 100% certainty, but the only year's set that I have seen with tail strip tagging has been the first (2005). The 2006 version had the White Sox 2005 World Champs patch on them.

I have a thornton jersey which is tagged 37 50 08 spd . The Sox have not been consistant on how they tag their Special or throwback jerseys. There are years specifically for SPD that are not tagged as the Sox do only mfg. size tag. Dont know how to post pic of the tag but if you want a pic LMK
Thanks
