Vince Carter 2003-04 Raptors Photomatch!

Hey guys, I've been reading these forums for quite a while now and very very very rarely post, if ever...

But let's just say I was REALLY excited today when I discovered this photomatch and I felt it was worthy of a post!

I bought the jersey directly from the Raptors a few years back but was always a bit skeptical as its a size 58 and I have only seen pics of him wearing sizes like 50, 52, and 54s

When I found a pic of him wearing a 58 I decided to investigate further and sure enough it was a match! Worn on March 7, 2004 vs the Hornets. Vince dropped 26 pts, grabbed 8 boards, and dished 8 dimes

Great job. I hate VC with a passion (being a Toronto boy and all), but I still appreciate the significance of the jersey.

Quick question - you said you got this directly from the Raptors. Is there a contact within the organization that you contacted? Or did you buy it directly from the team store?

vballguy: sorry for the confusion, i got it from their auction, i grossly overpaid for it as it was advertised as the last ever vince carter raptors auction haha... and he didnt screw toronto over.. management screwed him over.. keon clark being an integral part of the playoff run that year.. and grunwald rescinds the offer to clark to sign hakeem?? vince wanted to move forward and progress while management was going backwards...
