Great jersey, I always thought the tigers did a great job back the too of bringing in PSA at the end of the season to authenticate many items from the stadium/season in 1999.

Today I traded a 1958 El Tappe bat to his nephew for a 1961 Rawlings sporting goods dealer clock. He wanted the bat to go back to the family since they did not have one from his brief time in the major leagues.

Second, I tried using using the documents setting as that seemed to really work well for autograph baseballs and not picking up add flash light marks. Any tips, I know this is right up your ally. I am trying to cut down on a big bright flash spot on bats?

You might want to ask Kyle Hess. I could tell you how to photograph a bat with a digital SLR, but not with a point and shoot. For an SLR, you'd want to use a fast lens, bump up the ISO, and shoot without flash. But I really don't know about your camera.

I've taken pictures of baseballs with flash, but I make sure that the flash marks hit a part of the ball that doesn't have much interest. But good luck. I would recommend that you have your significant other take pictures of the bat for you, or at least borrow her camera. :)

Did you pick up the Austin Jackson helmet and bat bag from the Tigers auction? I wanted the bat bag, but saw you were bidding on it so I left it alone. I am sure there are many more out there.

No, the MLB is from an autograph session on December 4th with Steiner, I wish It was because then it would be easy to photomatch, and I could study for the bar exam instead of searching getty...:eek: haha.

I do have some beef with the shipping they sent it without a cube with peanuts in the package, the peanut wrap stuck to the pine tar, and there are some white marks, does anyone know how to get it off? I was taking tweezers but that takes forever.

Picked up my first GU bat...not sure what player cracked it but was taken directly out of Brisbane Bandits clubhouse. I was supposed to get a shattered bat from a game the night before but the GM told me to come back Sunday game and he would give it to me...instead he gave me this one (I assume he chucked out the last one). At least this one is only cracked. Would be good to know who's it is though.

1963 Cleveland Indians Willie Kirkland zip-front flannel vest. Made by MacGregor, set 1, 1963 tag inside tail. Jersey has been recycled to an industrial league team (Tire Outlet of Santa Clara, CA) otherwise, all original with no restorations or number changes. Piped trim with durene inserts in both armpits. Company name on back could easily be removed. I may sell this and leave the name on back and let the buyer decide to remove it or not. Does anyone have an opinion on this issue?

Now, how did a Cleveland gamer from the early 60s end up as a softball/baseball jersey from a league team in California? My guess is that it may have been recycled twice. Maybe from Cleveland to a northern California farm club, then to a tire retailer?

Back from the Minute Maid with these RARE jerseys. I have a thing for Astros TBTC jerseys and these two take the cake. First up is a 1999 M&N Moises Alou rainbow TBCT with matching pants. Both are made in Berlin with proper tagging. Alou was injured for the whole season due to his treadmill accident but apparently they made him a uniform. Never seen this jersey anywhere except the Ryan a fellow member owns. Love the screened on Astros and the Star

Next up is a 1995 TBTC shooting star jersey made by Victory Athletic. This company out of LA supplied Bagwell, Biggio custom jerseys in the late 90's while the rest of the Astros wore Russell Athletic. This is #12 of Rickey Gutierrez who played mostly as a bench guy in 95. Never seen this jersey in my life till today and can't find photos on the internet. Jersey is really sweet. Not really accurate as it has tackle twill wordmark not chain stitch.

They had a 3-4 late 80's jersey's and some 1990's Goodmans. They don't have them in the team store but in storage. They usually just sell the stuff during the games from a booth they have behind home plate.

Back from the Minute Maid with these RARE jerseys. I have a thing for Astros TBTC jerseys and these two take the cake. First up is a 1999 M&N Moises Alou rainbow TBCT with matching pants. Both are made in Berlin with proper tagging. Alou was injured for the whole season due to his treadmill accident but apparently they made him a uniform. Never seen this jersey anywhere except the Ryan a fellow member owns. Love the screened on Astros and the Star

Next up is a 1995 TBTC shooting star jersey made by Victory Athletic. This company out of LA supplied Bagwell, Biggio custom jerseys in the late 90's while the rest of the Astros wore Russell Athletic. This is #12 of Rickey Gutierrez who played mostly as a bench guy in 95. Never seen this jersey in my life till today and can't find photos on the internet. Jersey is really sweet. Not really accurate as it has tackle twill wordmark not chain stitch.

In regard to the victory, many people don't realize, but Chris Donnels also ordered Victory jerseys. Funny how three guys would do that, but they preferred the Victory over the Russell.

Picked up a nice lot of Hawaii related gear. First a Kila Ka'aihue game used Marucci bat, hammered, cracked , signed, MLB hologram. Also a Kila Royals powder blue game used jersey. The jersey show light use, but use nonetheless, there's also a nice signature on the rear numbers. A big thanks to "campwest" Wes, for picking them up from fanfest for me!!!! And next is a Benny signed game used Mets hat, and locker room name plate. The hat shows nice use and the name plate is pretty cool. Thanks to "Gameused" Bobby on hooking me up with the seller.

Just got in an Ankiel 2010 Royals home white coolbase.

Also a big shout out to David (STLCardinalscollector). He sent me this Royals Ankiel banner that hung on the light poles going into the stadium. Great surprise gift! I owe you one big time! This thing is huge! 2.5 feet by 4.5 feet!
