WS GU Balls Question/Opinions?

Hey everyone,
A little bit of an odd question? Not sure if ever covered here on GUU.
Could use some help/feedback from other's.

Do you know if in a world series (more so on the 1996 WS) in general are the ws balls used only in the actual games or are they used in BP as well?

Would like to hear other's thoughts/opinions?

It varies. In 1995 I tracked down a BP ball at a Braves-Indians World Series game in Atlanta. Since that was my only experience at a World Series game (I'm a Cubs fan, remember ), I can't say if that was the norm or the exception.

Also be aware that overstocks of prior years' WS baseballs can end up in regular season BP buckets for any team, participant or not. At Comiskey Park in 2001, the White Sox routinely used 2000 WS baseballs in BP for much of the year.
