Do you have 21 million to spend

Saw this and asked the wife if I could buy it. She said if it was 19 million I might say ok.

Wow! I really hope that was a crazy typo and that the seller isn't serious. Maybe the "0" key was stuck when he put it up on eBay. Probably spilled whatever Kool-Aid he was drinking on the keyboard.

This seller does it with all his items, he does it just to get it out there not to sell.

This seller actually has some nice recent Braves jerseys. When he pulls a stunt like this, though, I can't really take him seriously as a dealer.

              Well he does say....

"NO RESERVE 1ST BID WINS. If you think it's too high make an offer!"

And the MLB Database says the item is team issued because they weren't there to authenticate that day. I assume for that price, he knows the MLB authenticators personally.

He has the SAME jersey listed a second time (isn't that against eBay policy? Maybe I'll report him) for $6,999.99

Also, his AD (BOTH of them) state FREE SHIPPING (Expedited Shipping) right under the bid area, but then he asks for $12.50 s/h in the description... that'a either a bait and switch or false advertising.

He just wanted a way to bring attention to the jersey. Id hope people know he just wanted to field abunch of offers for the jersey and sit back and pick the best one...

Ebay let you list like 100 auctions for free last month so he must of thought hed get creative and put one up there to draw attention to the jersey. Now we ae seeing it is getting attention. Ive considered that jersey a few times when he had it for sale for its more realistic value just never pulled the trigger.

Is it against ebays policy to list an item more than once? I guess I broke the rules also? I know during that 100 free listing thing if an item had no bids on it with a day or two left and no watchers Id throw it up again to end on a day I would want it to end. If the first one sold Id just close the other auction.. Never knew it was a rule.

Re: Do you have 21 million to spend

Wasn't some board member here showing us where he'd done pretty much the same thing, just the other day? As I recall, he defended it on the grounds that it got him (and his other auctions) attention. My response to this auction is the same as my response to his: more people will think you're a nut and stay away from you than will think it's a funny joke and want to be your buddy.

                          Berger -

I'm pretty sure that listing the same item in more than 1 current ACTIVE auction is against eBay policy.

Just like here - if you list something in C to C and it is listed on the 'Bay, GUU will remove your item from C to C.

                          Just an FYI.

I'm surprised it's not been shut down due to the fact he states "make an offer" in the description, but isn't using the Best Offer option thru eBay.

I once had an auction running with the Best Offer option. With a few days left, I changed it to a regular auction, but forgot to remove "make an offer" from my description. It was shut down right away, for that very reason.
