Identifying Game Used Wrist Bands/Batting Gloves

Is there anyway to identify game used wrist-bands or batting gloves, such as particular styles or tagging? I specifically interested in some from the early 80's, but info on all years would be great.

Go through baseball cards in the early '80s. Many can be viewed by doing a search on eBay by the player's name.
