Hey guys,
Sorry didn't know where to start this one;
I'm looking to get a new cellphone ( I'm on Verizon network)
where I can log into the major auction houses and bid using my
normal login. I know a lot of major sites like ESPN and EBAY have mobile
sites where its easier to navigate but it doesn't seem like any of the major
auction houses have implemented any technology to make it cellphone friendly.

I'm narrowing my choices down to one of the Droids or the Iphone.
Not a gadget guy so I don't care for all the apps but
it would be helpful if I can bid on these major auction houses from my
phone as if I'm home on my computer using my username/password.
My current blackberry can't log into any of the major auction houses.

Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

Goh...

I vote for the iPhone personally. I'm on AT&T and have one. Feb 10th Verizon get the iPhone, but if you can wait until May or June they will be releasing a new version (4GS maybe, not sure). I truly love my iPhone, its easy to use, and is tougher than other smart phones that I've owned/used. Good luck.

Wade,
Thanks so much. From the emails I've received the Iphone seems
to be very popular.

Can anyone with a Droid chime in?

Thanks
Goh

My vote is for the iphone as well for ease of use to do your auction bidding.

I have a Droid phone and have used both eBay and ESPN (the apps and the mobile websites), but not any of the major auction house websites on my phone, but the internet access on my Samsung Galaxy S phones is great. I often check out my favorite fan forums and stuff which do not have mobile addresses, and they work perfectly fine. I have a buddy who really likes his iPhone, but AT&T's poor service ruined it. Personally I think you can't go wrong either way, and will be happy with whichever decision you make.

Thanks everyone! My friends love both the iphone and droid so
its a tough decision. I'm going to see how Iphone works on Verizon
before making my final decision.
I'm just glad, I will no longer have to pass up social activities
so I can stay home and bid until the wee hours of the night (or day..
if this happens again on MEARS I'm not bidding on their auction anymore. Nothing like going to bed at 4am winning, waking up at 10am still winning
and 30 min later, you're outbid..ridiculous)

Thanks guys,
