You have me at a disadvantage,sir,since Rox Spring Training is about 2700 miles from my home.What I need to do is fly down there with 2 suitcases of game-used stuff for the G-Man to sign,LOL!!Good luck with the helmet.
While I'm happy to hear he at least got an ST invite from somebody,he's gonna have to have the spring of his life to make that team-which makes me wonder if there's not a minor league coaching/instructor role in the works if he doesn't make it.Should be interesting to watch..

I guess you need to pass on a few Giambi items and use that money for travel fare to AZ... ;)

It will be interesting to see how the new stadium there is set up... one other nice thing is that if he doesn't make the team, he should be in the Springs...

As far as the Coaching thing, I have said that for the last two years here... he said last year how much he likes the organization and how they go about their business and if you get to see any Rockies games, he's not 'sleeping in the clubhouse' until the late innings as has been reported here and other places - he's on the rail right next to Tracy (almost like he's the bench coach) watching the game unfold and still learning new things...

Rumor has it that Carney Lansford is a 1 or 2 year deal here and that Giambi will be the next Rockies hitting coach... I wouldn't complain!

Hey ya! While I can't do it in a one week trip, in about two years I should be living in Phoenix. At that point you can always ship me stuff to get done during the Spring Training season...

And Smitty is one of the best at getting things signed! As well as seeing him in action getting sigs, his 'Man Cave' (or Museum, as I call it) is littered with autographed Bats, Jerseys, Helmets, and Baseballs! Good to see that the Old Man won't stop...and I'm not reffering to Giambi! :D
