So this guy is actually claiming he is selling an actual Lawrence Taylor game used college jersey. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=160549844481&index=6&nav=SEARCH&nid=74612943952

I messages him mostly joking as the pic was bad enough for me to not take a serious look at it and this is what he tells me:
Jersey was given to me by Lawrnce Taylor while in college, I have been frends with Lawrence since college. Lawrence was room mates with Steve Streater, my best friend since childhood, we hung out together and socialized together all during college and sometimes since. May be from 1980 and not 1979, it has been a long time since then, I don't have any other documentation.

He then tells me the jersey has no tags and it appears as if they never did.

What is it exactly that makes this jersey so bad? At first glance, I don't see anything that sticks out too much? I'm no UNC expert...just wondering what exactly makes you say that this is a bad jersey?

This is the same guy who sold the questionable pair of Jordans that was discussed on here recently,he said the were mj gamers but turned out to be retail tagging and the signatures looked terrible in my opinion.I emailed him during that auction and this is what he replied back to me.

They are size 13. I have no written documentation on the shoes or autographs, I was given the shoes personally by Michael Jordan in the Bulls locker room after the game at New Jersey in March of 1993. I also have the jersey from that game but am not willing to part wih it at this time.*He wore them during warmups and the entire game, I watched as he took them off and signed both of them. I was able to get access to him through a very good friend of mine who I went to the game with and sat courtside with. My friend is Lawrence Taylor who played for the NY Giants at the time, I have been frends with Lawrence since college. Lawrence was room mates with Steve Streater, my best friend since childhood, we hung out together and socialized together all during college and sometimes since. I
have a huge collection of Lawrnce Taylor game used equipment from both college and pro but will not part with any of it. As stated I have no COA but would be willng to put together a document outlining the facts as stated above to accompany the shoes. Thank you for lookng.

I guess the best friends with Lawrence Taylor story is his main story. And I mainly believed it as fake due to lack of tagging, as there isn't even a champion tag, the fact that he states it is in really good shape which I find weird because most lt jerseys have alot of wear and repairs, and his original buy it now price was only 500 which if I thought it was real I would have prob drove to his house and gave him the cash myself. Maybe I am way wrong and it is real. I don't believe it is, but I'm no expert and who knows maybe someone is gonna get what I would consider the deal of a lifetime.

Guess he changed his mind on that. If he is as close as he says with LT y not include a few pics with the guy or a pic of his huge collection instead of two very vague photos of what I believe is goin to wind up being nothing more than a retail jersey.

Reminds me of the auction I saw a couple of years ago for what was supposed to be some baseball items - as I recall, it was a gym bag, one or two gloves, and some other stuff - owned and used by Barry Bonds when he was at ASU. As one would expect, the Seller was inundated with questions, and - for whatever reason - the auction ended fairly quickly.

I told him that I thought it was a practice jersey and he said, " it very well could be"....
