Genuine, but misdated

A seller on eBay has what is purported to be a first-year Blue Jayus GU jacket of Steve Bowling. I don't doubt that a Blue Jay player wore this, but it's doubtful it was Bowling. The first year the Jays played was 1977; the Wilson tag is one not in general use until 1979. The item supposedly has a LOA from Bowling himself; however, no scan of the LOA is included in the 10 or so images accompanying the listing.

That seems steep to me, too. But, I value collectibles in the same manner I like my politics...conservatively...so my thoughts on value don't always match other hobbyists' opinions.
