I searched Tino Martinez bats and rarely saw this tape job. Is this normal for him? Thanks!

Re: Tino Tape?
This is not typical for Tino. What era in his career is this bat from? Looks like it could be a Paul O'neill tape job or Soriano. Hard to tell from that angle, but it looks as if it is a go od way down the handle which would eliminate it being a Posada bat. That is my 2 cents! -
Re: Tino Tape?
During 94-95 with the Mariners I have seen several pics with a criss-cross tape job.Comment

Re: Tino Tape?
I've seen tape on Tino bats from his time with the Yankees. See photo below - I own a bat taped just like it from Steiner. The photo is from 2000. That said, the tape in the first post seems to extend much further up the handle which is something I haven't seen from Tino. Any time I've seen tape its usually been very short. My guess is that another player may have used that bat.Comment

Re: Tino Tape?
It is a Yankees Model bat I was thinking of buying. The seller said he got it when the Yankees used to sell some equipment at the stadium. Can't remember if he gave me a year, but it is a Yankees model bat. Does $175 shipped sound fair?Jason Perlman
