We don't have the info on Kaat, but here goes on Tony Oliva 1961-1964:
During that period the majority of bats shipped to Oliva for his professional use were model D2 bats, 35 inches / 31 to 34 ounces. A much less number of D2 bats in lengths of 34 inches and 34.5 inches were shipped early in the label period. Additionally, one order of D2 bats 32 inches / 29 ounces were shipped to Tony on 11/6/64 (6 bats). Given the uncharacteristic dimensions and the date, plus subsequent orders in later years of 125LL bats, these 32 inch bats likely were for a purpose other than his professional use.
Model K55 bats were also shipped to Oliva during this label period, and comprised about 15% of his bats. The K55 bats were all 35 inch / 34 ounce with the possible exception of two orders --- my records are a little blurry ---I will ask Jim to check his records when he returns in mid-week to confirm length and weight.
Good Luck ... If you have a specific bat that you are inquiring about, let me know the model and dimensions and i may be able to narrow down the time frame within the period.
