    RIP: Robert "Tractor" Traylor

Traylor, a 7-year NBA vet and Michigan alumnus who played ball outside the NBA after his Association career was over, was found dead in his apartment in Puerto Rico. At age 34, a heart attack was cited as the cause of death.

Traylor was drafted by Dallas in 1998, but was dealt to Milwaukee in a deal that sent Dirk Nowitzki to the Mavs. He played through 2004-05 with the Bucks, Cavs and Hornets (both in Charlotte and New Orleans). He was playing for a Puerto Rican-based team at the time of his death.

Years before my wife and I started dating, we went to a Florida State / Michigan game at Madison Square Garden, I think. Anyway, I saw Traylor and thought he would be something special one day. He was good.
