    Legendary Auctions Griffey jersey

Legendary has been alerted to, and is reviewing, a 2000 Reds home vest of Ken Griffey Jr. regarding authenticity concerns. In question is the tail strip tag, specifically the font style and the boldness of the print.

Thanks to Howard Wolf for the alert.

      Thanks on both counts, Justin.

Item still listed with unchanged listing as of noon 5/20.

Thats a shame they left the jersey listed, I'm nowhere near the expert Dave is but it seems to be so off that it shouldn't have even been listed to begin with.

In an email received Friday evening from Doug Allen, the decision has been to leave the jersey in the auction, although the write-up will be amended and
existing bidders will be offered a chance to opt out of their bids.

I'd sure like to know who they have put so much faith in to give a positive review of this flawed item.

Doug Allen doesn't believe in authentication unless it is from his own authenticators. He believes he is bigger than the industry and the hobby and he doesn't accept when someone brings an issue to his item to his attention that maybe he should pull the item when he is obviously wrong.

This is not the first time I have seen Doug Allen take the attitude that he is bigger than the industry and people's knowledge such as Dave Miedema and Howard Wolf.
