As the 2011 Mothers Day auctions are approximately halfway through, what items have you won, bid on, are watching, or will be bidding on? What are your thoughts of the items. Some of the bids are pretty high, but then some have ended suprisingly low in my opinion.

Beyond Cano, which was a killer bat, is the Hosmer at $2,100, David Wright at $1,600 and close to the same for Matt Holliday?

At least it is for a good cause....

A good cause indeed. I didnt realize the Hosmer bat was that high. Out of curiosity, I followed the David Wright GU bat (no bids on my end though), and I was just amazed to see that thing go so high. Not to mention, that was one of two of his bats listed!

Im a Cleveland Indians collector, and I was surprised the Asdrubal only went for $370.00.

I will keep my eye on the Holliday bat just to see how much it ends at.

I still dont know if I like the continuos activity timing at the end, but it does make it fun.

I was in on the Cano until the thing went over 1200  0-4 game and I though 700.00 might win that bat

Hosmer was nuts...

Totally blew away my expectations... I was thinking, Jeter bat, Pujols bat, George Brett bat... or Momma Hos.

Does anybody know who is PuckFan3?

Did you see the bidding in the last hour for the Hosmer bat? It was Puckfan and Themikechu going back and forth, maybe 24 bids between them, taking the bat from maybe $850 to $2,100, just a total pissing contest. Very entertaining to watch!

It is fun to watch the bid wars on some items. I watched the David Wright go on and on. Entertainign for sure. Carlos Santana and Adsrubal both went for under $400.00 i think. I was expecting much more.

Keep your thoughts coming in and maybe share with us what you won!:D (or maybe didnt win but wnated to)

I was going to try for the Butler not game used bat last night and totally air-headed it. Got distracted with some house related and family related things and next thing you know it was over for a couple hours. Oh well.

I'm starting to worry about these auctions on MLB.com. I watched a Chase Utley autographed baseball get bid up to over $500 a little over a week ago. Not game used, and other identicals have sold for a little over $100. I looked at who was bidding and it was the same guy about 20 times. I can no longer find that specific auction...it has been removed. Makes me nervous.

Smoak bat went for $360. I didn't bid, given how little use there was on the lumber. Not worth it to me.

Anybody know who "Werock" is on MLB Auctions? I accidentally missed an item and may be interested in picking the item up.

I'm glad our bidding war entertained you all. I'm curious at to who puckfan3 is as well. I lost the pissing match, oh well. It was entering into George Brett territory and as much as I wanted the bat, I would rather have a 1990 Brett gamer.

Puckfan has won some awesome items over the past couple of years. They are won and never seen again. He's like the Bermuda triangle for game used treasures. :D

I won the Grady Sizemore bat in the auction. (Paid more than I wanted but it was one of those things where I had to have it). Just got it in the mail today!

Congrats on winning the bat. I looked at it and bid but then passed at a certain level and ended up wtih the Carlos Santana bat and Asdrubal Cabrera batting gloves. Let me know if you are able to photomatch it to the HR. Are you an Indians collector or just liked the Sizemore?

DC - I am an Indians collector. Thanks for the congrats on the bat. The Sizemore was a plus for many reasons. I was originally wanting to shoot for the Santana bat but opted out when I won the Sizemore. Congrats yourself on the (should be starting SS in the All Star game) Asdrubal gloves and Carlos bat.

I am ticked at myself for deleting the Mothers Day Tribe game from DVR on TV for photomatching purposes so now I dont have the luxury of freezing a screenshot of his 5th inning homerrun from that game to photomatch it.

PS - Any help of a good bat screenshot(s) from his 5th inning AB would be greatly appreciated for anyone out there that could help out. If anyone out there could help me, I would be willing to pay a few bucks for a few good screenshots of the May 8 game in the fifth inning (with some sort of indicator of the inning on it).

Shoot me an email as I am a big Indians collector (up to around 150-200 jerseys) and may be interested in trading/selling some items or at least connecting wtih another Indians collector. Welcome to the forum.

I emailed MLB Auctions and asked if there was going to be another round of Mothers Day auctions....3 days and no reply

MLB says they are still considering a second auction, but have nothing scheduled at the moment. :(

I read an article right around when they first listed this years items, and it stated it was a "rolling" auction. This meaning they would release items throughout the year. Try googling "think pink MLB mothers day auction 2011" and it shoudl come up.

Sent MLB 2 emails and left 2 voicemails almost a week ago and have yet to hear back.

Good luck......I tried contacting them too via email and they never replied. They replied after I won an item but it looked like it was a computerized / auto reply. I heard about nightmares on shipping times, but I got mine within one week of winning. I am not going to complain about MLB auctions, as I am sure they get hundereds of the same questions all thewtime.

Good luck though. I did hear (via PC article) that they would have more coming on the pink which is what they call a "rolling auction.

mlb, rather the idiots that run it, don't care about nothing BUT money! as long as they are getting your money from auctions, charity stuff, and hurricane relief, those greedy don't care about your items being shipped on time or answering anything!
