    RIP: Jose Pagan

Jose Pagan, a 15-year MLB infielder who played for the Giants, Pirates and Phillies from 1959-73, died June 7 of unannounced causes.

Pagan made two trips to the World Series during his career: a six-game loss for the Giants to the Yankees in 1962, and a seven-game win for the Pirates over the Orioles in 1971. He was an on-field hero in Game 7 of that Fall Classic, driving in a late-inning run that gave Pittsburgh a 2-0 lead in a game they ended up winning 2-1.
