Looking for some opinions. Would you pay the same price for a pair of game used batting gloves that a player you collect only wears on the basepaths as opposed to ones he actually hits with? I got offered a pair at a price that I would normally buy this players batting gloves for but since these weren't used to hit I'm torn. Should gloves used to hit command more of a premium then running gloves or is it all the same to you since they are worn in the game?

Re: batting gloves used for hitting vs running
Players use different batting gloves while on base? I've never once noticed that before. I'd pay more for gloves used at-bat unless it's from anyone who's a good base stealer, like somebody such as Jose Reyes.kylehess941@hotmail.com

I don't think a lot of players use different gloves while on base but Jimmy Rollins does. If you look at pics from this year he hits with Jordan Nike batting gloves and runs the bases with a different pair of Nikes. He doesn't steal a lot of bases anymore but he's a guy I collect so I ended up picking them up. If they weren't embroidered with J-Ro11 on the wrist though I probably wouldn't have done it. I like the personalized aspect of batting gloves. His stuff isn't rare but you don't see a lot of non-bat and jersey items of his often or at least I don't.Comment

Doesn't matter that much to me.I've paid near the same price for a pair of Giambi's black BP/pregame gloves (which I've never seen another pair of) as his regular in-game gloves.I think it just depends on whether you're a completist or not..
