Hello all,

I saw a link to these boards on another site and thought I would join here. I am a Mark Reynolds "supercollector". I have over 200 cards (80 Autographs, 20 Patch, 100 base/inserts/parallels) and some memorabilia. Since this is a memoriabilia forum I will show off my Reynolds stash.

On top of the Reynolds stuff I have a pretty unique collection of Race Used items from NHRA races...

Race Used headers from a Top Fuel Dragster autographed by about 20 drivers...

Race Used Rear Drag Slick from a Funny Car driven by Tony Pedregon (we use it as a coffee table)

I have a bunch of other race used stuff that I don't have pics of uploaded. A 3 foot section of the body of a tony pedregon car that blew up in Pomona. A timing block that Ashley Force hit going about 260MPH that I later had her sign.

Anywho, I'm looking forward to learning more about game used items from the many well informed members on this board.

Hey guys, took a few more pics of some stuff for the NHRA fans.

I've been going to the Phoenix race for about 9 years now. We park trackside with our motorhome and basically party and camp right there along the track for 4 days. This item was from Ashley Force's 2nd career race in a funny car. It was the 1st timing block that she hit in the 1st round when she crossed the center line. It was punted towards the side of the track where our motor home. After being in the same spot for the previous 6 years we had gotten to know the safety safari crew member who works our section of the track so I asked if she would mind running down and grabbing it and giving it to me. She ran about 100 feet down track grabbed it and much to the shegrin of the fans sitting at that portion of the track ran back up to us and handed it over the fence to my fiance.

About 2 years later I finally had Ashley sign it for me

Here is the video of the run:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4MnOcVg42Y (fast forward to 2:13 for the slow motion where you see her hit this block with her right front fender @ about 2:22)

Then here is the video of me getting it signed:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3de5EIVuNH8 (i'm the fat guy in the yellow) I asked her if the block looked familiar, lol...

The 2nd piece here is a part of the body from an explosion that happened in 2008 at Pomona. This is about a 4 foot section of the hood just to the right of the burst pannel.

Here is a video of the explosion:

The Pedregon body panel is so cool. I wish that we had NHRA racing here in Hawaii. Like jobathehut the only NHRA items I have are my diecast collection, which are mostly Joe Amato TF dragsters. My favorite piece in my Amato collection is a TF autographed by Amato & the late Darrell Russell just before his untimley death.

Nice stuff! I love NHRA. Being that a lot of my family live around Brainerd, I try to follow the sport (especially the summer nationals). I have never been too them, but I was around the track a couple years ago. The place gets LOUD! It was awesome.

This might be a dumb question but does the tire smell? I ask b/c i had 2 tires from a Nascar race, one Gordon and one Dale JR. and they left a rubber smell in the basement i had to put them on my porch b/c the smell was starting to get bad.

The rubber smell subsided after some time. The tires are made of different compounds and I have had some NASCAR Tires a while back and that rubber compound smells way stronger than this tire ever did. I did wash down the tire because we keep it inside and didn't want any black marks on our carpet (just a little soapy water).

That's strange because i have a tire of rusty wallace car and it never smelled at all.
