1950s Penn Quakers Football Helmet

I've been collecting helmets for about 6 months. I have half a dozen, similar to ones typically posted here.

Now I also have one that's somewhat more unique, so I'd like to share photos. The helmet dates from about 1950. The red part is a hard plastic type material. The blue is, of course, leather. It was worn by defensive captain Eddie Bell at the University of Pennsylvania. Yup, the Ivy League. Eddie went on to play for the Eagles and NY Titans.

Hey Dewey. The Cal Bears are what got me here in the first place. I live in Oakland and bought a Cal helmet at the local thright store. Started researching to see if it's game used (I think it is), and got hooked.

Hi Brian, Go Bears! Another cool helmet. I live right next door in Alameda and why can't I ever find stuff like that helmet in thrift stores?! Any idea who's helmet it might be? Best, Dewey

No. It looks like it was passed down throughout the 1980s. The facemask was moved at least once. Last reconditioned in 1989. Gets a lot of comments in my office.
