Ok this might not be anything big but I wanted to give you guys the heads up anyway just in case it turns out to be another scam.
I got an email from a guy yesterday who must have been fishing on the site and saw I was looking for some Robinson Cano game used bats awhile ago. The email asked if I was interested in buying some Cano G/U Auto Zinger bats "said he bought these from a board member named Matt years ago" and included the pics below. Asking price was 250-350 depending on which ones I wanted. Well he didn't have a GUU ID and said he just looks on sites looking for what people are interested in buying. Long story short we didn't work out an agreement and that was that. I received another email today and said one was still for sale...I passed.
So today I get another email from a different guy who is a GUU member asking if I was interested in some Cano's he picked up from Mead Chasky but none of the bats had his COA. I told him about the emails I got yesterday about the same bats and this was the response:
I'm not trying to scam anyone. JZ is the guy that emailed me with these bats, but I did not send the payment to him, it was my friend M's associate, SB I believe was the name that received payment via paypal. (I guess S deals with Mead, but I can't tell you that with 100% certainty.)
Just doesn't add up so I wanted to get this out before members are sending money all over the place for these bats that I'm not even sure anyone has. Just a heads up guys, don't want to see anyone get f&&&&* over.
