These things were awful, but I have to believe they would bring a pretty penny to be added to someone's collection. I found these picts of some from the M's-Royals original game in 1998. Just curious if anyone has any of them, or were they all burned ;) ?

I have 2 of these Mariners jerseys. 1 is a gamer and the other is retail and yes, there IS a difference. I recall hearing that these were auctioned off during the game or right after the game so I believe most made it out into the market but where they are now is a good question. Those that bought them seem to have kept them, which is fine but it'd be neat to see more of them. The one I got was at FanFest a long long time ago and it was the only one they had so I got it and I have never seen one since.

btw, the 2 I own are Stan Williams(coach) and a Griffey Jr. (retail version).

Those are pretty cool. I was at that game and there were a lot of futuristic tattoos, and I remember wondering if everyone got inked. That's before I realized that they were temporary. The Griffey helmet is awesome; I wish I owned it. There's something cool about having uniforms that capture how those in the past conceived the future. :)

I was at this game and they were all auctioned off via silent auction that took place at the game.

I picked up a Rockies Kevin Ritz a couple years back. Im always looking for them. They seem pretty rare.

That's really cool. I was only 13 back then, so I did not have the money for game used. But if I did, I would definitely have bought something at the auction.

Below was the Pirates offering in 1999. Yes, I know we Bucco fans share a long history of loud and vibrant unis (mustard yellows, bumblebees and the red vests), but these are too much for even me! But, of course I wish I owned a GU one :D !

They really do not come up much at all. Not sure what other teams did with them.

I have an Angels jersey, two White Sox, and a few Tigers (which were sleeveless knits with futuristic # and NOB (I have seen another promo with orange stripes on the sleeves and a Tiger tial wrapping around the back).

Here is a link to what teams participated: http://www.baseball-reference.com/bullpen/Turn_Ahead_the_Clock_Night

If anyone has any links to some of the game photos, please post them.

I haven't seen any of the gamers in person but I find a couple (Mariners) retail jerseys every now and then. Coincidentally, I sold two to a friend last weekend.

I have 1 Royals jersey from the 1998 Game in Seattle. Gunnerleigh I believe also has a full complete uniform with jersey, pants, and batting helmet.

Dan is exactly right. I have the complete uniform set of Hal Morris. A nice addition to the collection, no doubt about that.

Picked up these Royals pants from the 1998 TATC game, no idea who might have worn them though, no ID on them. Solid wear all over and kingdome dirt still attached, some black marks on the knees though, catcher maybe?

A Twins Tom Kelly is on Ebay.

Rare to see a Twins one come up for sale. I know Terry Steinbach sold on Ebay a couple years ago.
Twins had on display Doug Mientkiewicz at Twinsfest before. Only ones I've ever seen from them

To answer the question atop the thread, I have quite a TATC collection. As these were unusual, I set out to purchase 1 of every style jersey... and I am still not there yet. Of the 27 unique styles (2 from 1998 and 25 from 1999), I have 20. Some of them are ridiculously hard to find; some of them have never surfaced (i.e. the A's). I'm missing: 1998 Mariners, and the following from 1999: Braves, Indians, Rockies (purple style), Tigers (white style), Royals, A's.

For the most part, my collection are retail authentics (all correctly customized except for 1). I have 4 gamers mixed in too (1998 Royals, 1999 Orioles, 1999 Twins and 1999 Marlins). I'd be happy to supply pics of any of these if anyone is interested.

Also, if anyone out there has any of the 7 I am missing, I'd be happy to entertain offers!!

Here are the first bunch of photos.

Anaheim Angels - both versions; both retail authentic.

Blue - customized w/ Jim Edmonds # 25
Red - customized w/ Troy Percival #40

Next batch...

Philadelphia Phillies - retail authentic.
Customized w/ Curt Schilling # 38

Colorado Rockies - black & purple version - also retail authentic.
Customized w/ Todd Helton # 17

Next batch... this group features the two styles that have logos which "wrap around" the back...

Arizona Diamondbacks - retail authentic;
customized with Luis Gonzalez # 20

Detroit Tigers - retail authentic (blue style -- this was the style to be worn in the game vs. the Red Sox that did not happen);
customized with Tony Clark # 17 (the NOB/number font was a best guess).

Boston Red Sox - retail authentic (this was the style to be worn in the game vs. the Tigers that did not happen);
customized with Pedro Martinez # 45 (the NOB/number font was a best guess).

Milwaukee Brewers; retail authentic. Customized as Dave Nilsson # 14.

Note this is the correct font for the letters and numbers but the color scheme might be slightly off. I have only seen the back of 1 TATC Brewers jersey before and was not fortunate enough to capture the photos.

By far, my favorite :)

The Mercury Mets - retail authentic; customized as Mike Piazza # 31

The first 2 gamers:

1998 Jim Pittsley # 34 - Kansas City Royals

1999 Dan Perkins # 49 - Minnesota Twins

TNTtoys

The other 2 gamers:

1999 Mark Kotsay # 7 - Florida Marlins

1999 Jerry Hairston, Jr. # 15 - Baltimore Orioles
The best part about this one is the sewn on logo; this might be the only 1999 TATC (and there are 25 of them) to have this.

Final 3 for now (have a few more but they are in storage).

Pittsburgh Pirates - retail authentic.
Customized w/ Brian Giles # 24
Only one of its kind where 2 digit back numbers were 1 on top of the other

Chicago White Sox - retail authentic.
Customized w/ Frank Thomas # 35

St. Louis Cardinals - retail authentic.
Customized w/ Mark McGwire # 25
Very nice futuristic twist on the 'birds on bat' logo; they're robotic!

I have been looking to purchase a Twins retail jersey for a long time. There have been 2 that have come up in the last few months but each time I am not able to place a bid on eBay right before close (either forget or have something else that I must do). It's been killing me, since I just want to have one for my collection; I loved these things back when they came out, I was 15... so that explains the fascination.

Since these don't appear to have the 100% polyester flags attached of the Russell tag, or any other customizations, how can you tell the retail from the gamers apart? Not an anyway saying that those on here that are claimed gamers aren't, just trying to learn more about these.

Without having one of each in front of you, it is very difficult. The gamers are actually a heavier weight jersey. All of my 1999 gamers are thicker and heavier than the retail versions. I have to admit, this is a VERY subtle difference. Everything else appears to be the same.

TNT thanks for the insight I really appreciate it. If you are able to track down another Marlins gamer please let me know, or if you decide to loosen your grip on the Kotsay I would def be interested in it!

Funny, that game is on MASN right now. Cal Ripken Jr. just took a 98 mph fastball to the helmet.
