Just wondering when teams began using wash tags in their jerseys?

Probaby when they switch to Majestic, and that varies with each team.
Has the Majestic coding system alway been in place? I think so.

Oh. I thought all jerseys had wash tags. Reason I ask is I have a '96 Braves home Terrell Wade that was made by Wilson and noticed there was no wash code tag. Thanks for the clarification.

Wow, you dug up a really old post for this one.
The numbers underneath are ok although what they mean is anyones guess.
From the 2008 Jerseys I own and have seen (all of which are special themed jerseys), The "©VF Imagewear, Inc." is new text to the tagging this year. Anyone else notice this or can show proof otherwise?

This is the tagging from an '08 jersey I purchased recently. Although an '08 spring training jersey I purchased did not have the VF Imagewear, Inc. on the tagging. Maybe it was added to regular season jerseys?
