Hi all, been an occasional poster, long-time reader. We're all interested in different criteria about baseball jerseys. Can the group list all the number codes on the jersey tags? We know most, but, could we list them in one thread so maybe we can write them down in order for reference? From game used, game issued, b.p., store model, etc? There may be 6-10? But we can all have them. I just bought a beautiful Koufax that is has a size 54 tag under the Majestic label and has the code number 6200. Also has the velcro closure at the Dodgers inscription instead of a button. I love this jersey.

Here's what I can offer on Majestic:

Team issued:
Game jerseys 0062 2000-present; 0063 cool base 2006-pres.
BP jersey 6000 early 1990s-1997-98; 0006 1997-8-2002; 0065 2003-06; 0068 2007-10; new code for 2011 BPs...I will have to add that later, as I do not remember it off the top of my head.

Also: Majestic 2000 game jerseys from the regular season of the Blue Jays, Brewers, Cubs and White Sox will not feature any 4-digit code, as these 4 teams had their uniforms subcontracted by Majestic to Wilson, who doesn't use such codes.

Hope that starts you off.

Dave,

The code for the 2011 BP's is 0078.

Do game used/issued BP jerseys have letter size tags (L, XL, etc.), or numbers (44, 46, 48, etc.)? Just wondering.

On Russell and Rawlings, sizing is always numeric. I've seen both on Majestic, though the numeric sizes are more common these days...alpha sizing was the norm in the early 1990s.
