Norm "Wild Man" Willey, a DE for the Philadelphia Eagles for 8 seasons in the 1950s, died late Thursday, four days short of his 84th birthday.
Willey played for the Eagles from 1950-57, and, in that time, played in 2 Pro Bowl games and was named All-Pro 3 times.
In a game against the New York Giants, back in an era whre sacks were not an official statistic yet, he was reported to have tackled Giants QB harlie Conerly an astounding 17 times behind the line of scrimmage.
