Tomorrow night, the West Michigan Whitecaps are having Mickey Tettleton night...he will be signing free autographs and I'm planning on making the trip over to get my Tettleton gamer signed...growing up, Mickey was always one of my favorite Tigers, so I'm getting this signed to stay in my personal collection (and don't care if it affects the resale value). Question is, where should I get the jersey signed? If on the number, should I use a silver sharpie, or something else? Thanks for the input!!

I'd either use a silver Deco or one of those SRX silvers you can get in 8 (or is it 10) packs from Wal-Mart or Target.

How about having him sign the jersey in the middle of the number two and possibly add a game used inscription. You might want to display the front of the jersey at some point, see if he has time to sign the front.

i would get it on the 0 but the straight part next to the 2 nice and level.

I'm one of those collectors who doesn't like any autographs on game worn jerseys. BUT, if you plan to get it signed, the best place in my opinion is low on the front tail, near any tags that may be there. My view is that it's best that the auto not show on any part of the jersey that was showing when it was worn (thus preserving the way the jersey looked in use). Signatures on the tail near the tags are the least objectionable to me. But it's your jersey, so do what you prefer, obviously.

If it were mine, I'd say the level part of the "2" straight across. I like that look better than vertical when it is displayed.

I agree with the bottom of the two. But if space is the issue, maybe on the jersey itself, right below the numbers.
