Is this vintage bat the real deal?

A local guy offered to sell me this vintage bat. His description says "(32" L X 2 1/2" W) Hillerich & Bradsby 125S "flame tempered" baseball bat. It is stamped "Genuine Irv Noren Louisville Slugger". The nub has two chips and there are a few nicks but no cracks." See the pictures below. From what I found when I looked him up, Irv Noren played from 1950 to 1960 and was an all-star in 1954. He was also an A's coach in the 70s. Can anyone tell me if this bat is a real vintage game-used bat? Any how much is something like this worth? I'm more used to dealing with newer bats.

Store model based on the Flame Tempered, "2" on the knob instead of a model number, and the "S".

Always looking for game used bats from Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg, Mark Grace, Jody Davis, Shawon Dunston, Jerome Walton, Rick Sutcliffe, and Greg Maddux. Preferably CUBS era bats.
