I'm not a Redskins equipment expert, but my first impression of the helmet is a good one. Both the shell and facemask appear to be the correct colors (you'd be surprised at how often that's not the case because of all the different shades available). The style of facemask was very common for a Skins lineman and fits the helmet nicely. The 7 1/2 size is also common for a lineman, as well as the type of scuffing found on the front of the helmet. The logos and stripes were obviously replaced after the helmet was last used, which isn't either a good or bad thing -- as long as the logos originated from the team and are not reproductions (maybe someone else can tell). It would be interesting to know the date code on the inside of the helmet, just to see when this was probably used. I'm guessing late 1980s.
To sum things up, I don't see any red flags based on the photos he listed.Comment

I'd be wary based on the other items this seller is carrying. I also see very little to no use on the decals. If the helmet is battered the decals should be as well. Just my 2cents.
