    Photo match help, please?

Just received the lineup from my son's first baseball game that he will remember. Since there was a lot of problems in mailing it to me, the Director of Astros Game-Used memorabilia included a game used baseball from the game. Here is what I would like to know:

    July 17th, 2011

Top of the 11th inning, 3rd pitch to Brandon Wood, hit for a double, to Hunter Pence

How did the ball get back to the authenticators?

The next batter flied out on the first pitch. Same ball?

The next batter got on base by the pitcher's error-on first pitch. Same ball?

I have a nice healthy red dirt stain on the ball. I am wondering if it got on the ball from the double and then was thrown out of play or something else.

I would love to do more investigative research on my own but this is as far as I can go.

Thanks for all of your help in advance

Odds are the ball was throw out after the double. Usually once a ball hits the ground they roll it over the authenticator.
Collecting Cardinals jerseys and bats, with a focus on Yadier Molina, Matt Holliday, and Adam Wainwright.

I think that is what I am looking for. Awesome job, thank you.
I am going to frame the lineup card and find some way to display the ball with it.
