I recently purchased a pair of Sammy Sosa game used cleats autographed and incribed "HR 489". He wore the cleats on August 11th, 2002 against the Colorado Rookies. I am looking for a photo/video match fo the cleats and am having trouble finding pics of Sammy during that particular game. Getty Images has a few marked that date, ut it is incorrect as they show the Cubs facing the Giants. Anything would help and be much appreciated! Thank you.

Here's a link to the ESPN Recap/Box from that day. It has a photo of Sosa (tiny though), but not sure if it's a stock photo or not. Hope it helps some.

From what I've seen over the years, Sammy Sosa dated/notated GU items,
along with Arod, Raffy Palmeiro, Pudge Rodriguez and several
others handled by ASI and ESM have to be taken with a grain of salt since
they signed and inscribed anything that was put in front of them.

Thanks guys, especially cliffjmp33. My concern is that it may very well be a stock photo. Sosa also hit 3 home runs on August 10th (the night before). If anyone is able to find proved pictures and/or video of Sosa during the August 11th, 2002 game I will PayPal the first person $50 for your troubles.

Have you checked out any of those websites where people trade recorded MLB games? That might be your only way to finding any type of photo/video of Sosa wearing these cleats

My mistake...the game was only listed on that site (it says currently unavailable unless somebody posts that it is available)

Kyle,

Thanks for the advice, I haven't checked all the sites that people trade MLB recorded games on, I didn't know they existed to tell you the truth.
