Re: '64 Cleveland Jersey
This jersey CANNOT be from the 1964 or 1965 Championship games as Cleveland wore white jerseys in both games. A quick check of game action pictures from those games would have made that very apparent to the seller.
Also, since the Browns did not year tag jerseys until the 1980's, this jersey could have been worn by Tom Hutchinson or Eppie Barney, in addition to some players who tried out for the Browns and did not make the team, between 1961 and 1967.
The Browns did not have numbers on the sleeves prior to 1961. After 1967, the Browns changed the striping pattern on the sleeves.
Nice jersey, just not worn in a NFK Championship game. -
